Corona

Welcome to Corona

A citrus-born city known for its circular streets, warm neighborhoods, and everyday Southern California rhythm.

The Story of Corona

Corona gets called the "Circle City" for a reason — its famous Grand Boulevard forms a perfect loop around the old city center.

But Corona's story starts earlier, in 1886, when the South Riverside Land & Water Company founded the community during the height of the citrus boom. Lemons and oranges shaped the land, the jobs, the neighborhoods, the identity. Corona was once called the "Lemon Capital of the World."

As the citrus era faded, Corona transformed into a major family city and commuter hub — close to Orange County, but unmistakably inland in its heart and culture.

How Corona Feels Today

Corona is full of familiar Inland Empire scenes:

warm evenings on front porches

families walking in quiet subdivisions

long commutes toward Orange County

weekend crowds at Dos Lagos

hikers climbing Skyline Drive for sunrise

The city holds a mix of old and new — historic downtown streets on one side, newer master-planned communities on the other.

Quiet Corona Moments

Driving the circle at sunset.

Stopping for tacos at a tiny spot you've been going to for years.

Seeing Saddleback Mountain glowing orange after a long day.

Children running through sprinklers on summer afternoons.

Crossing the 91 freeway and watching the whole region stretch out ahead.

Corona feels like the point where inland life meets coastal influence — the in-between city.
