Rancho Cucamonga

Welcome to Rancho Cucamonga

A foothill city built on vineyards, trails, and everyday Inland Empire charm.

The Story of Rancho Cucamonga

Rancho Cucamonga feels like the kind of place where California's past and present shake hands every morning.

Before the neighborhoods and shopping plazas, this valley was covered in vineyards — miles and miles of them. The Cucamonga Valley was once one of the most important wine regions in the country, shaping the local culture for decades. Even though most vineyards have disappeared, their legacy still lives in the land and the names of roads, parks, and neighborhoods.

The modern city didn't fully form until 1977, when several communities united under one name. What emerged was a clean, family-centered city sitting right at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains — close enough to the peaks to feel their presence in everyday life.
