The Story of Temecula
Temecula has always been about the land. The Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians have been here for thousands of years. Spanish missionaries, ranchers, and settlers followed — but the valley's identity didn't crystallize until wine.
Starting in the 1960s, vintners discovered that Temecula's climate and soil were ideal for wine grapes. By the 2000s, Temecula Valley Wine Country was a full tourism destination — drawing visitors from across Southern California.
But Temecula isn't just wine. Old Town is a real downtown with character. Families love the schools and the space. And the Pechanga Resort anchors the local economy and cultural landscape.
